Marvin Mantle dies Saturday

Marvin Lee Mantle, 38, of near Linn, died early Saturday morning at his home.  Mr. Mantel was born Feb. 11, 1934, at Linn, the son of Theron ). And Wilma O. Gaume Mantle.  He was married May 15, 1957, at Linn, to the former Miss Helen M. Bruemmer, who survives.

Mr. Mantle was employed with Tipton Jewelry Store, Jefferson City, for the past 22 years.  He had graduated from Linn Schools.

Other survivors include: a son, Dean Mantle, of the home, two daughters, Miss Rhonda Mantle and Miss Gail Mantle, both of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Theron Mantle, of near Linn; two brothers, Howard Mantle, Jefferson City, and Donald Mantle, Holts Summit; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Fowler, Mrs. William Borgmeyer and Miss Patricia Mantle, all of Loose Creek.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Morton Funeral Chapel, Linn, with the Rev. Edwin Schmidt officiating.  Burial will be in the new Linn Memorial Park Cemetery.
