Funeral services were held Sept. 15, 1970, at the Gottenstroeter Funeral Home for Mrs. Grant Posey of North Bend, Oregon, who passed away Sept. 11, 1970, at the age of 47 years, four months and 22 days. Rev. R. Chenoweth officiated at the services. Burial was in the City Cemetery.

Goldie Mae Posey was born at Bland, April 19, 1923, daughter of Peter D. and Rosa (Redden) Leach. She was united in marriage at Linn Oct. 14, 1939, with Grant Posey and he survives.

Other survivors are three children, Howard Reithemeyer, St. Louis; Mrs. Catherine Fritsch, Owensville; and Miss Joyce Posey, North Bend, Oregon; six sisters and brothers, Wesley Leach, North Bend, Oregon; Clyde Leach, Bridgeton; Mrs. Mildred Price, Eureka; Mrs. Zelma Adams, O'Fallon; Mrs. Mary Hollandsworth and Mrs. Elaine Matthews, North Bend, Oregon; and seven grandchildren. Two brothers preceded her in death. Mrs. Posey was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church at Eastside, Oregon.
